Stig Inge Oy is the moniker for Polish artist Maciej Miskiewicz who incorporates acoustic instruments field recordings and post processed audio signals not commonly associated with music as primary sources for his compositions. Deprived of their original context, these sources form what Stig Inge Oy dubs "close-in-the-box electroacoustic music": tension ridden cinematic soundscapes that confront listeners with gloomy feelings of despair. At the same time, however, the music retains some sort of control structure that prevents it from dissolving and keeps it accessible even to those not firmly rooted in contemporary electroacoustic music.
