Synflict began as a cooperation between Marco Cervellin and Olliver Wichmann and originally referred to cover artwork they were creating for netlabel artists. Since July 2010, the project has become a solo effort of Olliver and the replacement of his previous moniker Nodepet. The music could be described as graphics at another wavelength utilising progression as additional dimension and ranges from electroacoustic with emphasis on contrasts, dynamics and sound design, but also reaches out to drone and dark ambient territory on occasion. Apart from feedback and artifacts of digital processing, real instruments are incorporated as well, albeit more in the sense as another source of audio signals.
