Wacky Southern Current is a project mainly consisting of Marco Cervellin from the Treviso province in northern Italy plus some friends of his occasionally helping him out with various tasks. Having completed a degree in arts he was involved with music from an early age on and became later both bass player and principal composer of the noise/alternative band Ed Dunkel for a couple of years. At the turn of the millenium, Marco became interested in ambient electronica and gradually changed his orientation by blending acoustic instruments with computer-generated sounds. In his music, echoes of his interest in wide ranges of music as diverse as contemporary classic, kraut- and progressive rock to current forms of ambient sounds become apparent and form an unique sound.
