The first 14 letters of the Hebrew alphabet served as naming scheme for Philippe Nore's second work on Petcord, Nahash.
The French sound artist explores a variety of timbres in his electroacoustic miniatures ranging from chopped rhythm fragments to
bleak resonant drones, from harsh feedback to gentle analogue warmth. The variety of both dynamics and timbres is large with
changes of pitch, textures and tone sequences defining the main characteristics of a track. Compared to Quinze, NP's vocabulary
on Nahash extends to finer nuances and spatial refinements. Consequently, the songs tend to increase in playtime, but also to
surprise the listener with unexpected turns.

The release is available as both single mp3 download and entire package including artwork. Some browsers may automatically play the file rather than offering a dialogue what to do with the latter, so in this case downloads may not be that straight forward. In case your favourite browser happens to exhibit exactly that behaviour, simply right click the link, and then a context menu should appear that offers something like "Save as" or "Save location as".
